Jacob set his backpack down as he entered the detention room. His pants were barely held up by a loose-fitting belt and his t-shirt was stained around the pits. His beanie was pulled down to his eyebrows to hide his messy hair. He has been in here so many times, he already knows how to work the system. He even got the perfect seat. He sits in the third seat of the fourth row, the perfect place to hide his gizmos from sight. The rest of the "regulars" walked in and took their seats. After about 30 minutes of waiting, the teacher walked out of the room. He gave his usual threats of don't move, don't leave, or else it will be a long school year.
Almost immediately after the teacher's departure, Jacob pulled out a small remote controlled car with a camera attached to it and a laptop from his backpack. "Let's see what the cheerleaders are up to," he whispered to himself as the car whizzed out the door. He watched as it drove down the hallway towards the gym locker rooms. He drove it inside and parked it underneath one of the benches, waiting for somebody to walk by. The low battery light flashed on his computer screen, reminding him he forgot to charge the camera.

Sean wouldn't normally be in detention. He wasn't what you might call a regular here, but he did spend time here once in a while. He walked into the room wearing a bowler hat, and wearing a green t-shirt with a pair of jeans. He was also wearing a digital watch on his left hand which was set in another time-zone. He would normally sit in a seat where the teacher normally wouldn't be looking at, but that was taken. So he chose to sit somewhere else. He had seated next to some of these people before, there were all annoying. At least there was a row completely free Row 5 he sat down on the fourth seat, and put his legs on top of the seat in front of him. He didn't really listen to the teacher, and was glad that he left.
He noticed that the boy in the row below was taking out a remote control car, and a laptop. He heard the remote control car whiz out of the classroom, and looked at the screen. It was heading for the locker rooms, and seeing how he ended up here, Sean knew what the boy was doing. "Well Tom hows the peepin' going?" He wasn't going to stop him from doing what he was doing, being here was pretty much the most boring thing ever. So this did have some entertainment values. "Don't let me stop. Hopefully the battery last long enough to see something interesting." He snickered to himself as he rested his head on the seat next to the boy.

The peeping tom comment gave Jacob a smile. He chose to not reply and instead, let the little vehicle to the work. Not long afterwards, the camera showed a pair of legs. Some chatter could be heard as girls walked into the locker room. He smiled as he knew it would be only moments until he caught something interesting. The chatter stopped, causing Jacob's smile to fade. "Really, Jacob?" One of the girls said, before the car was kicked, sending it flying into the wall. The screen filled with static as the connection was lost.
"Well, looks like I'm done here for the day. Gotta go fix me a new RC car," Jacob said as he slung his backpack over his shoulder. "If the geezer comes back, tell him I'm in the bathroom," Jacob said as he walked out the door. A few of the "regulars" followed him but most stayed back. Stopping at the door, he looked at the guy that was sitting next to him. "You coming or what? The old fart won't be coming back, he never does. Plus, I need somebody to help me find new parts for an RC car," Jacob said, raising an eyebrow. He pulled out his keys to his latest ride that won in a race.

He also smiled as the legs came. He knew almost all the girls that were coming in. Mainly because they were in his First-aid class, and he knew how hot most of these girls were. As the chatter stopped he was curious what happened. "Hey Tom whats happening?" He heard the voice calling out "Really, Jacob?" He knew what was going to happen next. Then the car was kicked, and it was destroyed. He shrugged. He didn't know what was going to happen next. He thought they were going to show it to the teacher, but of course maybe this was one of the reasons Jacob was here.
He was surprised when the boy stood up. Wouldn't he know that the teacher would be coming back soon, and probably end up here again. He looked around noticing that Jacob wasn't the only one standing up, there were a few others to. He looked back at Jacob who was offering him a ride. How could Sean refuse. He took his backpack and rushed to the door. "So where we going? Toy store, pawnshop?"

he walked towards a muscle car that had his choice of paint job on it. It was black with red and blue puzzle designs. The seats were made out of a light tan leather. and the paneling had the same red and blue puzzle designs on it. Unlike Jacob, the interior of the car was completely spotless. "We're going to my toy store," Jacob said as he turned on the engine. The car roared to life. The engine shook the vehicle as it idled.
"You like it? It's one of my newest trophy cars," Jacob boasted as he drove down the street. "What's your name, newbie? Most people call me Jacob," Jacob said. He came to a stop light along side an old racing friend of his. Revving his engine, he signaled a quick race. The car shook from the raw power. The other car revved back, its turbos hissed when the pressure was released. "You might want to hang on," Jacob smiled. The light turned green and Jacob slammed on the gas. The muscle car took off with a deafening roar. It passed vehicles, swerving in and out of traffic, leaving the other racer in its dust.
After an obvious win, Jacob turned off the road, heading towards the junkyard. He stopped in front of the gates. "Here we are, my toy shop," Jacob said as he grabbed his backpack and climbed out. He walked over to the locked gate and cut the chains. "Let's go do a little shopping," Jacob said with a little smile.

He followed Jacob to the car, which he had to admit it looked badass. Especially the puzzled designs, which made it look more impressive. "Sweet ride dude." He jumped into the passenger suit of the vehicle. "I don't know if I should be impressed or jealous that you that you have you're own toy store." Sean thought to himself maybe Jacob was the son of some very rich guy who owned a chain of toy stores. Which would explain the rebel attitude.
"Hell yeah I like the car!" He really did enjoy the car. It looked positively awesome. "The names Sean, but most people call me Lucky, and it's nice to meet you Jacob." He knew something bad was going to happen as Jacob started revving the engine to taunt the other driver. He was more afraid when Jacob said 'you might want to hang on.' He quickly put on his seatbelt and held on to it for dear life as they sped away. As he saw that they left the other car behind he couldn't help, but let out a wooh. He never had this much fun in his life.
As they stopped by the junkyard, his view of him changed. He was just a natural rebel. "Thats neat." As Jacob started cutting the chains Sean felt his powers kick in. It was one of those garbage dog who came running through those gates only a few seconds after Jacob cut them. As the gate chains were cut he held them closed tight as the dog approached. "Are you always this reckless?" He said tauntingly. "Jacob, look in my bag I should have some anesthetics in my bag. Be a dear and inject the dog with it please, he'll be in a more calming mood."

Jacob jumped back from the sight of the dog. "Only on days that end in "Y"," he joked. Digging through the bag, he pulled out the anesthetics. Jacob took off his left arm and lobbed it and the anesthetics over the fence. The dog started to fall asleep as the medicine kicked in. "How did you even know the dog was coming? I couldn't even hear him," Jacob questioned. He grabbed his backpack and headed into the "toy shop," picking up his arm as he walked in.
There were all sorts of piles of treasure. Jacob felt like a kid in a candy shop as he went from pile to pile searching for pieces. He even managed to find a small gasoline powered engine. "Check this out," he said as he held up the motor. "It is in almost perfect condition. It just needs a new throttle handle. Help me look for some more useful supplies. Find me something cool enough and I might be willing to part with one of my old racers," He said, trying to bribe the new guy.
Almost immediately after saying that, his jaw dropped and his eyes glistened. The scavenger almost sprinted over to an old engine. He squealed like a little girl as he looked at the twin turbo, supercharged engine. "If I could get this engine, plus a few modifications of my own, I would have the fastest racer in the city," he beamed. Reality set in as he realized, he had no way of getting the engine out of the junkyard. "Some other time, my precious," he whispered as he stroked the engine like a girlfriend.
Looking around, he found a few pieces for the RC car. A couple of shocks, part of a frame, but he was still unable to find a decent frequency receiver. The sun was starting to get low. Looking at his clock, Jacob blurted out the time. "It's almost eight o'clock and I'm still missing about half the parts needed for the RC car and camera."

Sean snickered at the joke he made about him being reckless. He was getting a bit distracted about the dog behind the gate trying to claw and bite his legs through the cage. "You certainly are a deranged little mutt." He said as he moved his legs back a bit. He then saw Jacob remove his own hand. He wasn't that surprised as a normal person should be. This was definitely one of the weird powers, but still it was pretty cool. "Nice parlor trick. Not exactly one I would choose but still cool." As the dog slowly fell asleep he opened the gates, and poking the dog to see if it was asleep. "Well my teachers call it precognition. It's like I can see in the future. However only for 4.6 something seconds into the future."
He looked around the junkyard. He actually had no idea what he was looking for. It all seemed like junk to Sean. He then looked at Jacob, and to him it was like he was having a good time. He started looked through a trash pile. There wasn't anything interesting except for a destroyed doombot's head. He turned his head as Jacob held the engine up. He had no idea what it was. "Neat. I guess." He rolled over the doombot's head towards Jacob. "This good enough for you?" He said smugly. Even though he had no idea what to do with a car as he had no clue on how to drive.
He wasn't really paying attention, to the big discovery Jacob had found. He was more interested in finding more interesting stuff. He could honestly say he understood what Jacob saw in this place. There was so much to find in this place. He began digging through another pile of garbage, and found a lot more cool stuff. He even began putting a few stuff in his bag. Which were mainly some weird trinkets. Like a tiki mask, and a old 90's radio, and on his head was a old raccoon skin hat.
He did however found a few more radio parts to make a radio transmitter, and receiver, but not enough to actually transmit or receive anything. He also found a few wires, and a piece of string. He didn't know why he thought the string would be helpful for. But still he had something to play with later on. "Crap were going to miss curfew, and I'm in no mood to be yelled at by wolverine. Twice in a row. What else do we need, and then lets get back to the institute quickly before anyone notices were gone"

Jacob looked at the doombot's head. He turned it over and examined the damage. Giving a shrug, he stuffed it in his backpack. "I can definitely use it for something." He continued to dig, ignoring the idea of being late for curfew. He's been late so many times, the yelling has become part of his routine of getting home. "Relax, if we're late, we'll just come through the garage, and I'll tell Wolverine that I was working on my car and you were helping me," He said.
Police sirens echoed in the distance. Jacob perked his head up like a deer. "Time to go," he said quickly. Jumping off the piles, he started sprinting towards the car. He brought it to life and peeled out as he turned the mechanical beast around. "Hang on!" Jacob yelled as he tore away from the junkyard. Two police cars were heading straight for them. Jacob slammed on the gas, causing the car to lean backwards as the engine made a deafening roar. He passed between both police cars, missing them by mere inches. The tires squealed as he turned around a corner. "Can you use your precognition thing to help me find a spot or tell me where other police cars are coming from, or something? I can't go back to jail again," He asked in a panic.
The police cars were falling behind, but Jacob knew the routine. They had already called for back up, and are planning on blocking routes. "Just a few miles away from the institute, we can make it," Jacob said. He was speeding through traffic, swerving in and out of lanes. He narrowly missed a head on collision with a moving van. "It's 8:53, we can still make it, we're almost there," Jacob said, looking at the clock on his dashboard.

Sean was getting a bit antsy. The thing about Jacob talking to Wolverine did calm him a bit, but he was still nervous. He was used to being yelled at once in a while, but not twice. And not by the same person. "Yeah sure hopefully that will work." he said as he was half way through a smaller pile of trash. You could see his bag was started to get over stuffed with a lot of junk he didn't need. He didn't know the exact reason why he needed it, but you never know.
He looked around as he heard the sirens. He knew this was going to be bad. He turned around to look at Jacob. "Okily dokily." He stood up with a plate in his hand with a crack in it. He started following Jacob. Sean entered the vehicle and put on his seat belt. He was freaked out by what Jacob was trying to do. "Jacob what are you doing?" He let out a small shriek as he thought they might crash. He coughed trying to sound manly again. He knew he shouldn't have worried his precognition would have kicked in.
"Well I can try, but no promises." He took off his seat belt as his power kicked in. It showed a police car coming from a corner, and it showed sean throwing his plate. He was sad he had to throw the plate, but it seemed to work in the flash-forward. So he did. The police car ran over the plate, puncturing a tire. The car swiveled out of control. He did things like this for a several other cars trying to create the least amount of damage. Not like that was going to change there judgement of them.
As the police fell behind he searched his bag to find there were no more junk he had collected, except for his raccoon skin hat he was wearing. "Good we might actually make it!" He was now more relaxed with Jacobs driving. He didn't even flinch with the almost collision. His powers kicked in again. He nudged Jacob. "Biker at 1 o'clock, 2 o'clock, 3 o'clock." He blocked his eyes expecting to get the side mashed with a motor cycle.

Jacob swerved, narrowly avoiding the bikers as they got close. "What, do you not trust me?" He asked, seeing Sean cover his eyes He kept the petal to the floor as he sped through a red light. "There it is," exclaimed as they rounded a corner. "We're going to make it!" the police threw out spike strips, tearing apart two of the tire. Jacob turned the wheel trying to keep the car heading in the right direction.
The police were closing in. "Trust me on this" Jacob said as he turned the wheel hard to the left. The car turned around, facing the police. He shifted it into reverse and hit the nitro. The engine whined under the pressure. "Any idea on how to lose the feds this close to home?" Jacob tried to hide the desperation in his voice but it was no use.
